Requirements

Experience in social work or related field
Bachelor's degree in social work (preferred)
Understanding of VA benefits, ranging from eligibility qualifications to successful appeals and appropriate documentation.
Experience working with families facing homelessness and those struggling with concurrent substance abuse or mental health issues.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain to clients, family members, and friends, and professionals the case and care plan and maintain good case records
Clean driving record

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in social work (preferred)

Responsibilities

Assists clients in developing goals and areas of need, and long-term plans.
Work collaboratively with clients, families, counselors, and residential programs to ensure high-quality care
Coordinate with third-party payors on a regular basis
