About The Position

Stacy Road Pet Hospital is seeking an experienced Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) to join our team as Chief of Staff . This leadership role is ideal for a veterinarian who is passionate about high-quality medicine, mentorship, and guiding a collaborative veterinary team. Our full-service small animal hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care including preventive medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, dermatology, and pharmacy services to pets in Fairview and surrounding communities. The Chief of Staff Veterinarian serves as the medical leader of the hospital. This role combines clinical excellence with leadership responsibilities, helping guide medical standards, mentor associate veterinarians, and support the growth of the hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who wants to take the next step into leadership while continuing to practice high-quality medicine. Located in Fairview, Texas , our hospital proudly serves pets and pet owners in communities including Allen, Plano, McKinney, Frisco, and Lucas. Our team is committed to providing compassionate, modern veterinary care while treating every pet as if they were our own. If you are a motivated veterinarian with at least three years of experience who is ready to step into a leadership role, we would love to hear from you.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical veterinary experience
  • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the state of Texas
  • Strong clinical, diagnostic, and surgical skills
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Passion for practicing high-quality veterinary medicine

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated leadership or mentorship experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain high medical standards and best practices
  • Mentor and support associate veterinarians and clinical staff
  • Promote continuous improvement in patient care and clinical protocols
  • Provide comprehensive veterinary care including examinations, diagnostics, treatment plans, and surgery
  • Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care
  • Ensure exceptional patient care and client experience
  • Work closely with the hospital manager to support daily operations
  • Foster a positive, collaborative team culture
  • Participate in staff training and development
  • Help drive hospital growth through strong client relationships and medical excellence
  • Support initiatives that improve patient care, efficiency, and team engagement
