Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; additional veterinary training or certification is a plus.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a veterinary assistant
Strong knowledge of animal behavior, care, and basic veterinary procedures.
Proficiency in using veterinary software and electronic medical records.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
Physical stamina to lift and restrain animals when necessary.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
Prepare and maintain examination rooms, surgical suites, and medical equipment.
Provide compassionate care to animals, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
Maintain accurate medical records and assist with scheduling appointments.
Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring that the clinic is well-stocked.
Clean and disinfect work areas and animal housing facilities.
