About The Position
VCA Noah's Ark Animal Hospital in beautiful Goleta, CA is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team! We are dedicated to delivering high quality patient care to companion and exotic pets in Santa Barbara County. We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual to help complete our healthcare team! Why We Want You! As a member of the VCA Noah's Ark team, you will support other vet assistants, technicians and doctors by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission is to provide an excellent client experience and deliver exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- All aspects of patient care
- Physical patient assessment
- Animal handling and restraint
- IM, IV, SQ injections
- Nursing care/hospitalization treatments
- Client communication
- Pharmacy
- Laboratory work
- Hands Free Digital Radiography
- Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, IV fluid therapy
- Anesthesia monitoring
- Surgical preparation and assisting
- Dental cleanings/dental radiography
- Patient Recovery
