About The Position

As the first point of contact for our clients, the Veterinary Receptionist plays a critical role in creating a welcoming and supportive experience for both pets and their owners. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, personable, and thrives in a team-oriented veterinary environment. This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling and potential for full-time hours as the hospital continues to grow.

Nice To Haves

  • Must be able to lift 30-50 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, quality customer care to patients and clients
  • Process invoices payments
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and obtain all necessary medical history
  • Determine the status of the patient’s immunizations and tests
  • Communicate with the doctor and technical staff on the patient’s arrival and necessary treatments
  • Fill prescriptions, food requests, and over-the-counter products as instructed by a veterinarian
  • Accurately input data into computer software
  • Some tasks may be assigned or reassigned as policies and procedures change
