About The Position

If you want to work for an AAHA accredited, Fear Free Certified vet clinic with awesome people - then look no further! Furever Family is looking for a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team. Ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, organizational skills and great with time management. Experience working with animals is a plus but is not required. Why would you want to work for us? More time for you! 4-day work week allowing 3 days off each week! Hours: Open 8-6 M-F, and 8-12 on Saturday. Never open on Sundays and never on call! We are the only Fear Free Certified Clinic in the greater Quad City Area. AAHA accredited- because we believe in it. 4-doctor practice with a great group of DVM's on board. Benefits - We got them! Requirements

• 18 years of age at least
• High school diploma or GED
• Plays well with others (people and pets mainly)
• Can chat with clients and share what you know about pet care

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working with animals not required but is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Preparing for and assisting Veterinarian with Patient visits through a multitude of tasks
• Taking patient histories and communicating with Clients
• Taking appropriate and accurate medical notes during patient exam to ensure DVM has clear picture of exam findings and client discussion points
• General assistance throughout the course of the exam
• Providing prompt, friendly, and professional service to all Clients
