About The Position

As our Practice Manager , you will oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy veterinary hospital while working closely with our DVMs to ensure both medical excellence and operational efficiency . You will be responsible for building strong relationships, coaching performance, and ensuring accountability across all roles—including veterinarians.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field (preferred)
  • 3–5 years of experience in a management role , including strong customer service experience
  • Proven supervisory and leadership experience with the ability to influence and guide veterinarians and staff
  • Strong leadership presence with a high level of emotional intelligence
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to delegate effectively and drive results through team members
  • Positive interpersonal skills; works well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Strong time management skills , adaptability, and flexibility in a fast-paced setting
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office , and ability to quickly learn practice management software (e.g., Avimark, ezyVet, Cornerstone)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a veterinary or medical practice setting with increasing responsibility (highly preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all hospital operations, including staffing, scheduling, workflow, and financial performance
  • Partner directly with veterinarians to drive productivity, compliance, and medical quality standards
  • Confidently address performance issues with doctors and staff, providing coaching, feedback, and accountability
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve revenue, client experience, and patient care outcomes
  • Monitor KPIs, budgets, and P&L to ensure the hospital meets financial goals
  • Recruit, train, and retain a high-performing team
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with all veterinary regulations, safety standards, and protocols
  • Handle client concerns and escalations with professionalism and urgency
