About The Position
The Sterile Processing Assistant will aid the Surgical Technologist and surgery team with cleaning and preparing operating rooms.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a sterile processing in a hospital or outpatient facility and knowledge of Medical/Surgical instruments in either human or veterinary medicine.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate, with strong communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working in veterinary medicine preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning operating rooms
- Cleaning, assembling, and inspecting instruments
- Laundering cloth items
- Stocking surgery suites and hospital with supplies and sterile instrumentation
- Unpacking, checking and stocking new equipment, instruments and devices
- Sterilizing instruments with Ethylene Oxide and Steam methodization
- Routine sterilization equipment maintenance
- Perform other related responsibilities as assigned
