Veterinary Technician - LVT

About The Position

University Place Veterinary Hospital is on the hunt for a Licensed Veterinary Technician to add to its fantastic team. With all the advantages of an established, well-managed practice and opportunities for personal and professional growth, this may be your time. Ever wonder what it would be like not to work seven days a week? It's hard to imagine, especially during these challenging times in Vet Med, but it's possible! At UPVH, we take the work-life balance and personal well-being seriously. Our hours reflect our belief in the importance of self-care. Our typical day consists of 30-minute appointments with each doctor having an assigned skilled assistant and/or technician for the day, an hour during which our phones turn off and the doors are locked so that all of our team can enjoy lunch onsite OR offsite, an additional 30 minute buffer before appointments resume to allow for catchup time and callbacks, then after an afternoon of appointments, leaving for the day on time being the norm. We have hour-long department and all-staff meetings scheduled monthly or quarterly (depending on team feedback), enjoy periodic lunch & learns to stay on top of new products and treatments, and love celebrating our staff!
