Location: 1900 S Sepulveda Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90025 Salary: $ 34 - $ 39 / hour based on experience, knowledge, and skills Schedule: 4 days, 10-hour days We are seeking dedicated Registered Veterinary Technicians to join our Medical Oncology Department. As a Registered Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering top-tier veterinary care to our patients.
Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification is required.
- Proficiency in performing nursing procedures, such as venipuncture, catheterization, chemo administration, and anesthesia monitoring.
- Experience with chemotherapy agents.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to providing excellent patient care and client service.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- 1-3 years of experience working as an oncology technician is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Providing compassionate and skilled nursing care to critically ill and injured animals.
- Monitoring patients' vital signs and responding promptly to changes in condition.
- Proficiency in chemotherapy agents and their administration
- Proficiency in anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
- Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring compliance with hospital protocols.
- Collaborating with other members of the veterinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
