About The Position

You've spent years mastering the skills that keep animals healthy and their owners at ease — the clinical precision, the hands-on techniques, the calm under pressure that defines a great veterinary technician. Now imagine bringing that real-world experience into a classroom and watching students develop those same skills under your guidance. At Pima Medical Institute, that's exactly the kind of impact our instructors make. We're looking for credentialed Registered Veterinary Technicians who are ready to step in, lead with confidence, and make a difference — on a part-time schedule that works around your life.

Requirements

  • Active RVT or CVT credential.
  • Graduate of an AVMA CVTEA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate clinical knowledge into clear, effective instruction.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering assigned curriculum lessons and providing hands-on support in a veterinary laboratory setting.
  • Guiding students through lab procedures and practical demonstrations, helping them build real confidence and clinical competency.
  • Keeping the lab environment safe, organized, and professionally run — just like a clinical setting.
  • Grading assignments and providing meaningful feedback that supports student growth.
  • Monitoring student attendance and reporting as required.
  • Ensuring all safety precautions are followed in both classroom and lab environments.

Benefits

  • Competitive Pay: $31.00 – $38.75 per hour.
  • Approximately 20 hours per week — afternoon and evening shifts.
  • Colorado Paid Sick Leave.
  • Employee Discounts.
