At Johnsonville, we’re looking for a visionary leader who can build out our Global Planning & Analytics team into a strategic engine that drives growth and strengthens our competitive edge. As Vice President of Global Planning & Analytics, you’ll connect big-picture strategy with everyday execution. You’ll lead the charge to implement Class A Integrated Business Planning (IBP), making sure every decision—from sourcing livestock to getting product on shelves—is smart, data-driven, and built to thrive in any market condition. Your mission: transform planning into a competitive advantage that drives EBITDA and strengthens Johnsonville’s leadership in the protein space.

Requirements

  • Related bachelor’s degree or master’s degree required
  • Minimum of 15 years in CPG or Manufacturing industries, required
  • Minimum of 7 years leading IBP/S&OP at a $2B+ scale, required
  • Deep understanding of "short-cycle" manufacturing and multi-channel distribution (Retail, Foodservice, International), required
  • Expert-level knowledge of Oliver Wight methodologies and advanced planning ecosystems (e.g., o9 Solutions)
  • Technology & Digital Enablement – Strong knowledge of advanced planning ecosystems (e.g.,o9 Solutions experience preferred) and emerging analytics technologies to drive agility and resilience.
  • Global Planning Expertise – Extensive experience managing complex, international planning environments with sensitivity to regional nuances, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics.
  • Enterprise Leadership – Aligns multi-year planning strategies with enterprise objectives; empowers cross-functional leaders and ensures accountability across global operations.
  • Trustworthiness – Operates with transparency and unquestionable integrity; builds strong, trusting relationships across all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Protein or food industry experience, strongly preferred
  • APICS (CSCP/CPIM) or Oliver Wight certification is a significant advantage

Responsibilities

  • Act as the “Single Source of Truth,” aligning Sales, Operations, and Finance under a unified One-Johnsonville Plan
  • Advance beyond basic S&OP into Integrated Business Planning (IBP), where the 24-month demand plan drives the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and CapEx strategy
  • Solve the unique challenge of balancing demand for specific cuts with whole-animal utilization—optimizing total value across the entire protein portfolio
  • Chair the Strategic Business Review, presenting high-stakes trade-offs and “What-If” scenarios to Johnsonville’s Executive Leadership
  • Drive the cultural and process transformation to achieve Oliver Wight Class A standards, instilling accountability and forward-looking visibility across the organization
  • Develop a rapid response capability to simulate and assess the financial impact of critical business events and major disruptions—ready to deliver insights within hours
  • Direct the Product Management Review (PMR) to eliminate underperforming SKUs and optimize the mix for maximum margin and minimal waste
  • Govern critical KPIs including Forecast Bias/Accuracy, Plan-to-Profit Variance, Total Inventory Health, and Customer Fill Rates
  • Coach and develop the team’s capabilities, building a strong talent pipeline for future Planning leaders—equipped with deep business acumen that bridges manufacturing operations and financial strategy
