About The Position

Bluecrest Residential (“Bluecrest”) is a privately owned real estate investment company founded in 2004. Bluecrest principals have owned and operated a multifamily portfolio totaling more than 16,000 units and in high-growth secondary markets. Bluecrest’s competitive advantage stems from its long-standing industry relationships and its fully integrated property management, asset management, and data analytics platform. Since 2018, Bluecrest principals have been investing preferred equity in multifamily assets on behalf of large institutional investors. In 2022, Bluecrest principals were the largest seller of multifamily in the US and has consistently delivered exceptional results, with deal level IRRs exceeding 30% annually since inception. Going forward, Bluecrest is looking to acquire high-quality multifamily assets across the Sunbelt, and continue to invest preferred equity in multifamily development projects. We are also now offering stretch senior construction lending. Bluecrest is adding a Vice President, Originations to source, structure, and secure preferred equity and stretch senior multifamily investment opportunities nationwide; primary focus on ground up multifamily new construction. The Vice President of Originations will identify developers and specific projects where preferred equity or stretch senior capital provides a compelling solution within the overall capital stack. They will screen for new opportunities, determining strategic and financial fit before advancing deals internally. Once fully vetted, they will prepare and present investment summaries and recommendations to the internal investment committee.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business or related field required.
You have experience originating or structuring ground-up multifamily construction capital.
You have experience sourcing and securing preferred equity investment opportunities, specifically multifamily ground up construction.
You have experience across stretch senior construction lending, specifically for multifamily ground up construction.
You are or have been a Director or Vice President at a multifamily real estate investment group.
You have worked for a top construction preferred equity or stretch senior / construction-focused group.
You have five to ten years of experience in multifamily real estate finance or investments.
You have a experience underwriting preferred equity or stretch senior construction strategies.

Responsibilities

Sustain and preserve relationships with existing network of developers, brokers, and construction lenders.
Create and develop new relationships with developers, brokers, and construction lenders.
Source new construction/ground up multifamily investment opportunities with no geographic restrictions.
Evaluate investment opportunities to expose strengths and weaknesses.
Assist in the closing process of multiple investment opportunities simultaneously.
Monitor and assist in the ongoing asset management needs of closed investments.
