About The Position

The Vice President of Operations (“VPO”) is responsible for building physician partnerships, setting the Division’s growth strategy, and managing the clinical, financial, and operational performance of their Division. Overseeing an approximately $300M operational portfolio, the VPO is responsible for building a strong shared vision for their Division and ensuring they have the supporting people and operational processes in place to drive performance. Work Schedule: Hybrid (Texas)

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a leadership role with a track record of driving team success and achieving organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrated eagerness to identify and address opportunities or challenges without needing direct oversight.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work cooperatively with physicians, all staff members, and external customers.
  • Strong management skills with the ability to oversee complex projects and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable with presentations to senior management, boards, community Divisions, and physicians
  • Proven track record of taking initiative and driving projects to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and a highly matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning and self-improvement.
  • Proven ability to embrace challenges, learn from feedback, and adapt to evolving situations.
  • Travel Requirement: Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time, with an average travel commitment of 40-60%.
  • Home Base Areas of Nashville, DFW, Chicago, or Atlanta
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degree in business, healthcare administration or relevant field, and/or equivalent work
  • Minimum ten (10) years of healthcare operations management experience.
  • Extensive experience leading healthcare operations in a multi-state integrated healthcare delivery system of a minimum of $100M + million revenue of Direct P&L experience.
