Verra Mobility is a global leader in smart mobility. We develop technology-enabled solutions that help the world move safely and easily. We are fostering the development of safe cities, working with police departments and municipalities to install over 4,000 red-light, speed, and school bus stop arm safety cameras across North America. We are also creating smart roadways, serving the world's largest commercial fleets and rental car companies to manage tolling transactions and violations for over 8.5 million vehicles. And we are a leading provider of connected systems, processing nearly 165 million transactions each year across 50+ individual tolling authorities. Position Overview: The Vice President of Product Design is a transformational executive who will build, lead, and scale a world-class, multi-disciplinary design organization - spanning Product Design, Research, Content Design, and Design Operations. As the executive owner of experience strategy across our connected-mobility portfolio, this leader translates complex, cross-functional problems into simple, trustworthy, human-centered experiences that drive measurable outcomes in adoption, satisfaction, and time-to-value. Operating as both strategist and organizational builder, the VP connects discovery to delivery at scale: establishing an insights-to-experience pipeline, institutionalizing a modern design system, and creating the operating model where empowered product teams can ship coherent, accessible, and high-quality experiences - reliably. This role is a key driver of Verra Mobility’s evolution toward a modern Product Operating Model—empowering durable, cross‑functional product teams to continuously discover, experiment, and deliver solutions that solve real customer problems, rather than simply executing projects or managing handoffs. As a senior member of the executive “product trio,” the VP partners closely with Product Management and Engineering leadership to elevate decision quality, accelerate learning, and ensure that experience strategy is fully integrated into product strategy. This leader plays a critical role in shaping how teams work, how decisions are made, and how customer value is delivered end‑to‑end. Success in this role is measured not by artifacts, but by impact: customer trust and usability, business outcomes, velocity and quality of delivery, and the lasting capabilities of the design organization. Success is also defined by enabling teams to confidently and independently make data‑backed product decisions, reducing reliance on top‑down approvals.
