About The Position

As VP, Product Development Strategy, you will own the full lifecycle of new and reimagined products across consumer lending spectrum. You will analyze competitive products, reverse engineer what drives their success, and lead the build of differentiated, scalable products. This role sits at the center of Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Marketing, Sales, and Finance. You will be responsible for driving complex, cross-company initiatives that deliver measurable revenue and customer growth.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in financial services, fintech, or mortgage banking
  • 3+ years in senior leadership
  • Proven success launching and scaling lending and/or banking products
  • Direct experience across auto, personal lending, and subscription-based models
  • Strong understanding of consumer lending regulations and compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to take products from concept to billions in volume
  • Deep experience analyzing competitive products and building superior alternatives
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree preferred.

  • Background in lending, credit, or financial services platforms
  • Experience modernizing legacy systems or launching new platforms

Responsibilities

  • Product Leadership & Strategy
  • Set a clear product vision and roadmap that supports business growth and long term goals
  • Lead and develop a strong product development team, establishing consistent processes and best practices
  • Translate high level business objectives into clear product priorities and deliverables
  • Ensure products are designed to scale and adapt as the business evolves
  • Drive improvements that increase automation, reduce manual work, and improve turnaround times
  • Partner closely with engineering and data teams to deliver reliable, high quality solutions
  • Own the End-to-End Product Lifecycle
  • Move from concept to pilot to full-scale national rollout
  • Build business cases, pricing models, and go-to-market plans
  • Define KPIs and continuously optimize performance
  • Lead Cross-Functional Execution
  • Act as a trusted partner to senior leaders across business, operations, sales, and marketing
  • Align product plans with revenue goals, risk management, and operational capacity
  • Clearly communicate priorities, progress, and tradeoffs to executive stakeholders
  • Define realistic delivery plans that support both near term needs and long term strategy
  • Build strong relationships with key external partners and vendors

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for key post launch and operational workflows
  • Support major releases and ensure successful adoption across teams
  • Gather input from users and stakeholders to continuously improve product performance
