About the position

The VP Sales & Marketing is responsible for developing and advancing new business opportunities and securing profitable business. This position requires a high level of customer engagement, often at the most senior levels, plus the capability to coordinate successful integrated product offerings with other Safran Business Units. The role demands a proven ability to network with Airlines and Aircraft Manufacturers, build relationships, define market opportunities, manage expectations, and successfully secure sales of new and promote existing products. Additionally, the VP will manage the sales and marketing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Secure ongoing profitable work for entities of responsibility.
  • Engage senior Management on all issues of Sales and Marketing.
  • Implement, execute and maintain a world-class sales & marketing organization.
  • Formulate market and product development strategies to support continued profitable market growth and create new markets.
  • Detail competitive landscape and recommend approaches to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Provide insight into Customer decision making.
  • Develop and negotiate commercial agreements, in coordination with the legal department.
  • Track and analyze the performance of the sales operations of Safran Cabin, publishing a monthly report.
  • Provide clear directions in structuring Customer proposals to best support Customer's expectations.
  • Support strategic sales initiatives including proposal support, customer pitches, and coordination of promotional activities.
  • Track and analyze market position relative to competition, including market share, reputation, pricing competitiveness, and technical performance.
  • Define the commercial strategy of Safran Cabin with the support of other functions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales and marketing within the aerospace and defense industry.
  • Strong networking skills with Airlines and Aircraft Manufacturers.
  • Ability to engage with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Experience in formulating market and product development strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills to track and analyze sales performance and market position.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in managing sales and marketing teams.
  • Familiarity with commercial agreements and legal coordination.
  • Understanding of competitive landscape analysis.
