About The Position

The Vice President of Strategic Financial Structures is responsible for developing, executing, and overseeing the enterprise-wide strategy financial structure including indirect cost rates in alignment with business objectives, competitive positioning, and regulatory requirements. This role leads cross-functional collaboration between Finance, Contracts, Government Compliance, Business Development, and Operations to ensure the company maintains compliant, optimized, and forward‑looking structures that support profitable growth. The VP serves as the senior strategist and advisor to executive leadership on indirect rate trends, pricing strategy impacts, and long-range financial planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in government contracting, indirect cost management, financial strategy, or government compliance roles.
  • Experience in manufacturing structures and optimization
  • Extensive knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and Cost Accounting Standards.
  • Proven leadership experience developing complex rate strategies for a large government contractor.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and experience using rate modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with executive leadership and communicate complex financial concepts clearly.
  • Track record of successful interactions with DCAA/DCMA or similar oversight bodies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, modeling, and communication of the company’s indirect rate strategy across all portfolios.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations leadership to design multi-year indirect rate roadmaps aligned with business forecasts, strategic initiatives, and anticipated market shifts.
  • Evaluate competitive intelligence, industry benchmarks, and regulatory changes to adjust and refine rate strategies proactively.
  • Collaborate with Pricing and Business Development to assess rate impacts on bids and proposals, enhancing competitiveness while safeguarding compliance and margin objectives.
  • Partner with Internal Audit and Government Compliance to ensure alignment with policy, controls, and audit readiness.
  • Support mergers and acquisitions by evaluating indirect cost structures, integration impacts, and rate synergies.
