About The Position

Under the general direction of the Senior Vice President (SVP) Chief Supply Chain Officer, the Vice President (VP) of Supply Logistics provides executive leadership and strategic oversight for the Tampa General Healthcare System’s distribution, logistics, and supply delivery operations. Responsible for the design, execution, and continuous improvement of all supply movement, warehousing, receiving, equipment management, and last-mile delivery processes across the enterprise. Ensures that TGH’s supply distribution network operates efficiently, safely, and in alignment with patient care priorities, clinical quality, and financial performance goals. This position leads strategic initiatives in automation, supply chain resilience, sustainability, and system standardization, ensuring materials flow seamlessly from manufacturer to point of care. Serves as a key member of the Supply Chain leadership team, building partnerships across clinical, financial, and operational departments to enhance service delivery, reliability, and organizational excellence. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or other related field.
  • Certified Materials and Resource Professionals (CMRP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) required.
  • Eight (8) years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics, or materials management.
  • Eight (8) years in executive leadership within a large healthcare system, academic medical center, or an integrated delivery network (IDN)

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive oversight for all distribution, warehousing, receiving, and medical supply distribution operations across Tampa General Healthcare System.
  • Develop and execute long-term logistics strategies that support patient care excellence, operational efficiency, and financial sustainability.
  • Lead system-wide initiatives in automation, warehouse/point of use redesign, and technology integration to enhance reliability and visibility of supply flow.
  • Direct distribution operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Oversee quality assurance programs, ensuring adherence to JCAHO, OSHA, and internal safety standards.
  • Participate in Value Analysis committees and facilitate product conversions and standardization across the enterprise.
  • Collaborate with Finance, IT, and Clinical Operations to align distribution strategies with organizational priorities.
  • Manage enterprise-level budgets, monitor financial performance, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and reinvestment.
  • Establish metrics, dashboards, and analytics to measure productivity, inventory accuracy, and service-level performance.
  • Foster collaboration and professional development across distribution, logistics, and materials management teams.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, and external partners to enhance system efficiency and resilience.
  • Serve as executive lead for emergency preparedness and supply chain continuity planning.
  • Represent TGH at regional and national forums related to supply chain and logistics excellence.
