About The Position

KABB/WOAI -TV is seeking a News Editor to help produce clean, compelling, and visually strong newscasts. The ideal candidate works quickly, communicates well, and delivers high‑quality edits under deadline pressure. Professionalism & Teamwork Maintain professionalism with coworkers, clients, and the public. Be respectful, collaborative, positive, accountable, and flexible. Take initiative in developing skills through courses, projects, or self‑directed learning. What We’re Looking For Strong editing skills with solid understanding of broadcast standards Ability to work quickly, accurately, and creatively under tight deadlines Effective communicator and team collaborator Technical Requirements Must have working knowledge of: Avid Media Composer Adobe Premier LiveU systems Routing systems Scan converters Schedule Requirements Must be able to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays, as the role requires following posted schedules.
