About The Position

The Videographer/Editor will be responsible for all pre- and post-production activities including shooting footage and editing for Opry Entertainment Group (OEG). Determine the lights, cameras and lenses best suited for assignment in collaboration with the Producer. Set up necessary production equipment to record content (cameras, microphones, backdrops, lighting, etc.). Lead film footage decisions on solo assigned events or locations choosing best angles, lighting, etc. Create continuity in content through shot list generation, camera coordination and recording. Edit content, including transferring the raw footage into the editing system and systematically organizing the data for retrieval purposes. Create and maintain file backups of all edits. Render finalized content to proper format for use on the requested platform. Interface with producers, clients and talent addressing their needs, making recommendations as appropriate in order to create the desired video (mood) and final edit. Set up and oversee projects for post-production. Establish the look of content through the artistic and technical decisions made regarding editing, color correction and other creative and technical elements. Add final audio mix, including any voiceovers or music selections and finalize meaningful cuts for each piece. Deliver final approved edits to appropriate vendors in designated format per vendor requirements. Maintain knowledge of all professional video equipment, all routing, all processing and recording devices and data management. Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of equipment. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ years experience as a Videographer required
  • 3+ years of video editing (Premiere Pro preferred)
  • Experience with video lighting required
  • Experience with Canon C-300 or similar cameras
  • Experience lighting/filming professional interviews and documentary style
  • Experience working with artists/management teams
  • Strong user knowledge of professional video equipment and editing software

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge/experience with After Effects preferred
  • Knowledge of other cameras a plus
