To achieve our vision, we are searching for a Full-time Violin/Viola Teacher with a Bachelor’s Degree, and at least 2-4+ years of relevant teaching experience. The salary range for this position is between $62,000 to $94,000. New hires can expect to be brought into the organization at a salary at or near the start of the range, depending on relevant experience teaching in schools. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-4+ years of relevant teaching experience

Responsibilities

  • Teach weekly instrumental lessons to students across 2 campuses.
  • Lessons are either individual or for groups of up to 4 students
  • Lessons are 30 minutes in length, taught during the school day
  • Teach violin club (up to 12 students)
  • Club meetings are scheduled in the afternoons between 3:30 and 4:30 PM two days per week
  • Club activities include ensemble playing, music theory, musicianship, and music appreciation
  • Teach from Essential Elements for Strings and Suzuki Method books
  • Supplement method book materials with repertoire, improvisation, or composition activities, according to interest
  • Communicate with family members at least three times per semester to share progress and set goals for at-home practice
  • Prepare all students for juries performed for outside examiners and showcase performances
