About The Position

The School of Music at The Ohio State University seeks to hire a 9-month, non-tenure-track, Visiting Assistant Professor of Tuba & Euphonium starting August 15, 2026. The tuba and euphonium artist will have demonstrated evidence of successful teaching in higher education and a representative record of professional performance experience. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enriching the student experience of tuba and euphonium studies at Ohio State through providing teaching and mentorship to students as they pursue a wide range of academic and professional goals.

Requirements

  • Master of Music required; Doctor of Musical Arts preferred.
  • ABDs welcome to apply.
  • We are seeking candidates who, in addition to building their independent research program, will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a wide range of students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
