About The Position

Miami University is seeking part-time visiting faculty to teach theatre, dance, and related courses during fall semester, 2026. Course assignments are made on a semester-by-semester basis. Candidates must meet established education and/or professional experience requirements in the field. Courses may be taught face-to-face or online depending on need. Ability to teach online limited to specific states.

Requirements

• Applicants must possess one of the following combinations of education and professional experience:
• Master’s degree or higher in theatre, dance, film, or a related field
• Bachelor’s degree in theatre, dance, or a related field with 5 years professional experience in these fields
• High school diploma and 10 years professional experience in theatre, dance, or related fields.
• High school diploma and 5 years professional experience in theatre, dance, or related fields, and certification by a relevant professional society / school
• Submit a curriculum vitae/resume and cover letter.
