About The Position
VMware Subject Matter Expert SME The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced VMware Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our IT team. As the SME for VMware platforms, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing our VMware infrastructure to support critical national security functions. This role requires in-depth knowledge of VMware solutions, strong troubleshooting abilities, and a strategic mindset to ensure the scalability, efficiency, and security of our virtual environments. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in VMware virtualization, cloud integration, and related technologies. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with VMware, such as vSphere, ESXi, vCenter Server, vSphere Client, NSX, or vSAN
- 2+ years of experience with scripting and automation tools, such as PowerShell
- 2+ years of experience with Linux and Windows Administration
- Experience with debugging, troubleshooting, and maintaining best practices and design principles for VMware
- Experience with identity and access management solutions, including Active Directory
- Knowledge of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- HS Diploma or GED
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years of experience with Citrix Workspace, Citrix Gateway, and Citrix ADC
- 2+ years of experience with Citrix Cloud and on-premises deployments
- 2+ years of experience with Configuration as Code, such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
- Experience with AWS, EC2, Lambda, SQS, SNS, OCI, or Azure
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform
- Ability to work on a large team
- VCP, VCIX, or VCAP VMware Certifications
