About The Position

This position is located in Whiteville North Carolina (Columbus County). Key duties: Administering, scoring, and interpreting an extensive variety of vocational interests, achievements, and psychological tests • Analyzing consumers' medical, psychological, socio-economic, vocational, and educational information • Developing a formal evaluation plan for each client • Conducting community-based assessments and making referrals for evaluation services to the consumer and the rehabilitation counselor(s) • Creating written reports outlining vocational aptitudes, interests, and abilities which are foundational to the vocational planning process • Gathering occupational resource information for better service deliverables • Participating in multi-disciplinary teams and committees for exchange of information and planning • Partnering with consumers and their family members, employers, school personnel, and other community agencies/contacts • Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in vocational evaluation, rehabilitation counseling, or closely related human services field from an appropriately accredited institution; or Bachelor’s degree in vocational evaluation, rehabilitation counseling, or a closely related human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
