About The Position

Vocational
Specialist, you’ll lead consumer engagement using the Supported Employment
model, working in homes and community settings to provide personalized,
recovery-oriented services.

Join our team at our Carlisle, PA location, supporting Cumberland and Perry
Counties.

Earn $22.76/hour.

Our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) model supports individuals with serious
mental illnesses who may not have experienced success or haven't found effective
support within traditional outpatient programs. We offer tailored services
emphasizing relationship-building and active involvement in enhancing
functioning and symptom management.

Services involve weekly home visits, provided either in individuals' residences
or within the community, utilizing personal vehicles for client transportation
and community-based tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle required
• Travel throughout Cumberland and Perry Counties for client support and community outreach

Nice To Haves

• Preferred focus on rehabilitation counseling.
• 1-2 years of experience supporting individuals with mental illness will be considered for candidates without a preferred bachelor's degree in rehabilitation counseling.
• Proficiency in recovery principles and working within a recovery-driven system.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vocational assessments, develop individualized employment plans, and provide job coaching, placement, and retention support.
• Perform weekly home and community visits, using your own vehicle to assist with transportation and job-related tasks.
• Participate in daily team meetings and Community Support Planning to align vocational goals with mental health recovery.
• Support individuals in developing daily living skills, including hygiene, nutrition, money management, and social engagement.
• Build relationships with employers, present the benefits of inclusive hiring, and lead job readiness workshops (e.g., resume writing, interview prep, workplace safety).
