About The Position

Under general direction perform various semi-routine duties exercising some care and using some judgment, making minor decisions where errors may cause confusion. Counsels individuals and provides group and individual vocational guidance services by performing the following duties: . ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide general direction and supervision of assigned participants of the janitorial crew, ensuring that all contract requirements, quality control, and rehabilitation needs of the consumers are met. Duties are to include: Under general direction and supervision for assigned program participants on janitorial crews and outside contract crews, ensuring that all contract requirements, quality assurance and rehabilitation needs of program participants are met. Will supervise program participants while in the community providing guidance and directions on social and community interaction skills. Will be responsible for the transportation and guidance of vocational training for assigned program participants performing duties at the different commercial contracts locations. Responsible for maintaining and submitting daily/weekly/quarterly data on program participants. Data to consist of: progress notes, performance of individual program plans, goals and objectives, tracking forms, safety meetings, and site evaluations. Will ensure all documents are submitted in a timely manner to the immediate supervisor for review and acknowledgment signature. In cooperation with the Job Developer and Case Manager, collects, organizes, and analyzes their interests, aptitudes, abilities and personality characteristics for vocational and educational planning. Will provide continuous reinforcement of consumer works habits and attitude. Supervises assigned program participants workers, ensuring work is performed according to job descriptions or contract requirement. Makes clear and appropriate delegation of program participant/worker responsibilities, providing assistance and guidance as needed. Must also be a suitable role model for the program participant worker. Will conduct daily inspections of vehicles, completing the required vehicle inspections sheets with noted deficiencies for submission to the Department Supervisor on a weekly basis. In return, will keep the Department Supervisor advised of any vehicle deficiencies and assists with a complete vehicle repair request form. Will keep the Production Supervisor informed of contract activities, progress and problems, with concise, complete written reports about the participant worker. Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces. Clean and disinfect restrooms, break rooms, common areas, and other designated spaces to ensure they meet established cleanliness standards. Handle waste disposal and recycling properly. Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of floors, walls, windows, and fixtures. Follow proper procedures for cleaning different surfaces and use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to ensure a spotless and well-maintained environment. Regularly inspect designated areas for maintenance issues, safety hazards, or potential damages. Report any concerns or malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor or maintenance staff promptly. Ensure that all cleaning equipment and supplies are used and stored safely. Monitor and maintain janitorial supplies inventory. Inform the supervisor in a timely manner when supplies need to be replenished. Keep track of stock levels, place orders, and receive deliveries as required. Assist in special cleaning projects, such as deep cleaning, floor waxing, carpet cleaning, or window washing. Follow specific instructions and procedures to achieve desired results Regularly inspect designated areas for maintenance issues, safety hazards, or potential damages. Will provide guidance and instruction on safety policies and proper methods on use of equipment and tools. Other duties may be assigned. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Assists individuals to understand and overcome social and emotional problems. Promotes a better, more cooperative working atmosphere by maintaining a safe, hazard free work environment, adhering to CAL OSHA and ADA requirements. Following all regulations for safety as required by the Injury and Illness Prevention Program. Maintains as harmonious, pleasant and positive work environment as possible by following established standards for undesirable conduct, including but not limited to discrimination, sexual harassment and alcohol/substance abuse. Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner. Follow personal policies closely. Foster cooperative staff relationships and effective teamwork. Shall maintain as harmonious, pleasant, and positive a work environment as possible by following established standard for desirable conduct; including but not limited to discrimination, sexual harassment and alcohol/substance abuse, promote a better, more cooperative working atmosphere by maintains a safe, hazard free work environment, adhering to call OSHA and ADA requirements. Individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance the work load, as assigned by the Department Supervisor, or ARC Industries Director.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Driver’s license or ID card
  • Possess a High school diploma or GED
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English; bi-lingual preferred
  • Clean Driving record. Must have the ability to provide a DMV report at the time of hire.
  • Maintain a current CPR/First Aid Certification (given upon hire; bi-yearly renewal)
  • Meet in compliance with completing a TB/Physical exam upon hire.
  • Possess working knowledge of all phases of the job and various techniques and skills necessary for efficient completion of tasks.
  • Willingness and ability to cooperate, work, and communicate with co-workers, supervisors, subordinates, or outside contacts.
  • Adequately and efficiently follow through on set plans.
