About The Position

As the VP Cyber Threat Intelligence in Fiserv’s Cybersecurity Operations you will lead and mature our global, cyber threat intelligence capability across a complex, high-scale financial technology environment. You will be a leader who connects deep technical adversary analysis with executive-level risk decisions and measurable defensive outcomes. In this role, you will define and drive the enterprise cyber threat intelligence strategy and operating model, deliver strategic, operational, and tactical intelligence that informs cyber defense, risk management, product security, and executive reporting. You will serve as the cybersecurity organization’s senior authority on cyber adversaries, geopolitical risk and emerging threats targeting financial services and payments. In addition you will define and execute the global vision, strategy, and operating model for the enterprise CTI function ensuring intelligence directly informs the broader cybersecurity strategy and business objectives as well as build, lead, and scale a high-performing global CTI team spanning strategic, operational, and tactical intelligence. You’ll be expected to be available off hours on an as-needed basis, based on business and client needs.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of technology leadership experience with a strong emphasis on cyber threat intelligence and cybersecurity.
  • 8+ years of experience leading enterprise-scale intelligence programs within financial services, fintech, or other highly regulated industries.
  • 8+ years of experience with intelligence lifecycle methodologies, adversary frameworks, and modern intelligence platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field (or foreign equivalent degree) or equivalent work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven ability to influence engineering and product leadership through partnership, governance, and metrics-driven decision-making.
  • Deep understanding of adversary ecosystems including nation-state, cybercriminal, insider, and fraud threat actors.
  • Proven ability to operationalize intelligence into measurable outcomes across detection, response, and risk reduction programs.
  • Experience briefing C-suite executives and Board-level stakeholders on cyber risk and geopolitical threat developments.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance practices impacting financial institutions.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI), or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive intelligence led defense principles by embedding threat insights across both the cybersecurity operations center and the larger cybersecurity organization.
  • Provide executive-ready intelligence briefings, strategic assessments, and risk-driven recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Serve as the company’s senior authority on adversary capabilities, intent, and emerging cyber risks impacting global financial technology infrastructure.
  • Translate complex threat landscapes into clear business risk implications and drive prioritized mitigation actions.
  • Partner across the Cybersecurity Operations functions to map adversary tactics to internal controls and validate defenses against the most likely threats.
  • Monitor global geopolitical shifts that could be manifested as cyber threats to financial infrastructure.
  • Develop predictive intelligence capabilities, expand beyond reactive reporting to provide indications, warnings, and predictive analysis of malicious activity targeting the financial and payments sector.
  • Oversee the cyber readiness exercise program, ensuring a disciplined, risk-aligned approach to table-top exercises, readiness measurement, and remediation tracking
  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships across cybersecurity, technology, product, fraud, legal, compliance, and business leadership.
  • Own CTI vendor strategy, selection, contracts and budget, and measure value/ROI of intelligence feeds, platforms and services to ensure high-fidelity, decision-relevant intelligence.
  • Define and track program metrics that demonstrate intelligence adoption and impact on detection, response, and reduction of the organization's cyber risk.
  • Maintain and expand strategic intelligence relationships across public and private sector communities in support of enterprise operations
  • Exhibit strong executive judgement, critical thinking, and leadership during high-impact cyber events.
