About The Position

As the VP of Facilities at our Melbourne Headquarters, you’ll provide operational leadership and strategic guidance for Space Coast Credit Union’s Facilities organization, overseeing the branch network (65+), two headquarters buildings in Viera/Melbourne, an operations center in Melbourne, and a major operations center in Miramar. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, reliable, and member‑ready facilities while guiding strategic direction for departmental operations across facilities management, physical security, corporate real estate, and administrative support areas. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field required, Masters preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in facilities, property management, corporate real estate, or physical security.
  • Financial acumen to manage operational and capital budgets.
  • Strong vendor and project management experience.
  • Experience overseeing multi-site portfolios, preferably within financial services or similarly regulated industries.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • CFM, FMP, SFP, PMP certificates preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leads all facilities operations, including preventive and emergency maintenance, building systems reliability, and space planning.
  • Oversees physical security programs such as alarms, access control, surveillance, and incident response.
  • Manages SCCU’s real estate portfolio, including leases, branch relocations, remodels, and construction projects.
  • Directs administrative support functions (mailroom, front desk) with a focus on service levels and efficiency.
  • Develops long‑term facilities strategies, capital plans, budgets, and asset lifecycle programs.
  • Builds and coaches a high‑performing team while maintaining strong vendor and contractor oversight.
