About The Position

The Vice President of Human Resources is a strategic leader responsible for aligning people initiatives with organizational goals. This role provides oversight of all HR functions, and ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws. The VP serves as a trusted advisor to leadership while ensuring all people practices support our business strategy and our company values, Growth, Innovation, Experience and Family.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience across core HR functions, including benefits, compliance, employee relations, leave management, and talent management.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience managing HR teams in a multistate environment, including California, with exempt and non-exempt workforce.
  • Strong experience in benefits administration, including 401(k) plans.
  • Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now, including ACA compliance, payroll, and tax processes.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Flexibility and able to work effectively in a fast paced, complex results orientated environment with multiple business leaders.
  • Ability to travel within the company footprint.

Nice To Haves

  • SPHR or SHRM SCP strongly preferred.
  • Industry experience in real estate, healthcare, or hospitality preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with the business objectives.
  • Evaluate and enhance HR policies, procedures, and practices to ensure effectiveness, and compliance.
  • Lead and develop the HR team; including the: Senior HR Coordinator, Talent Acquisition Specialist, Human Resources Generalist, and Intern.
  • Oversee all HR functions, including benefit administration, compensation, employee relations, payroll, and talent acquisition.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate health and welfare benefit programs in collaboration with brokers.
  • Serve on the company’s 401(k) Plan Investment Committee and support plan governance.
  • Develop a talent acquisition strategy to attract, retain, and develop a diverse pool of high caliber driven professionals, fostering an environment where every individual feels valued and empowered to contribute their best.
  • Stay current on industry trends, employment legislation and ensure organization's compliance across the company footprint.
  • Partner with managers to address employee relations matters and promote the company values.
  • Assess workforce capabilities and support leadership in aligning talent with changing business needs.
  • Participates in cross functional committees and special projects as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
