About The Position

The Valcourt Group is seeking an experienced Vice President, Network, Infrastructure, and Security to lead the Information Technology function at The Valcourt Group. The role will have primary responsibility for leading and implementing strategy and best practices related to our enterprise infrastructure and daily operations. This is inclusive of end-user support, on-premise & cloud infrastructure, telecom systems, networks, security, and end user devices. You will be responsible for infrastructure management, system operations incident response, and the successful delivery of modernization initiatives. You will work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment that crosses multiple technology domains, business teams, and offices. The Director, IT Operations will report to the Chief Information Officer. The VP, Network, Infrastructure & Security will provide technical expertise and executive leadership to lead all aspects of network and infrastructure operations for The Valcourt Group’s national infrastructure, including wide-area networks, datacenter networks and facility level networks. Responsibilities will also include overall responsibility for the security posture of The Valcourt Group and ensure best practices are implemented for monitoring and preventing security related incidents. This is a critical role with technical operations responsibility and accountability to deliver elite network availability, security and performance to all of The Valcourt Group entities.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Vice President or Director of Infrastructure and Security
  • 15+ years relevant experience managing network, server/cloud environments and security operations.
  • Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and issue identification
  • Demonstrate the ability to build relationships with key leaders in other departments and teams
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization and communication skills
  • Experience as a strong, thoughtful manager with an interest in mentoring and leading team members to the next level in their careers
  • Experience in creating operational efficiencies
  • Demonstrated ability to take extreme ownership over areas of responsibility

Responsibilities

  • Set and implement network strategy across enterprise locations.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise across LAN/WAN/DC & cloud networking.
  • Develop and execute initiatives to simplify, standardize and optimize network operations methods and tools to reduce cycle times and increase security, availability, and service agility
  • Develop, implement, and monitor a strategic, comprehensive enterprise information security and IT risk management program
  • Develop and drive the strategy/development of “right-sized” network operations for The Valcourt Group’s unique location footprint and business needs.
  • Manage network operations (including incident management, change management and problem management), as well as network security operations.
  • Lead network operations projects, including budgeting, planning, implementation, maintenance, administration, staffing and logistics.
  • Develop and drive our Server / Cloud administration and management strategy
  • Implement and monitor network tools for security monitoring, vulnerability monitoring, intrusion detection, and other tools that are reported on with a SIEM.
  • Develop Incident Response, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans and establish annual testing cadence.
  • Establish best-practice methodologies based on KPIs for incident/change/problem management in a nationally distributed production environment.
  • Mentor, lead and motivate a team of professionals and set priorities to achieve department goals and KPIs.
  • Support adoption of new technologies and tools and recommend capability improvements to network and security operations.
  • Direct the continuous and secure operation, administration and maintenance of the corporate computing and networking infrastructure
  • Recommend new products and systems based on budget, client needs, and improvements in technology.
  • Analyze network from a cost, capacity, and forecast perspective, and evaluate new network operations technologies and applications.
  • Ensure service-level targets are met and address all service-level complaints.
  • Ensure network operations are conducted according to corporate standards, and in compliance with external standards as defined in company objectives.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in interactions with partners and customers, handle collaboration projects externally and internally.
  • Ensure server environments are secure, and server patching is kept up to date, monitored, and reported on.
