About the position

Reporting to our CTO, the Vice President of Product Marketing will manage all aspects of our global product and solutions marketing to drive marketing strategy and pipeline execution. As a member of the marketing leadership team, this position will partner with multiple stakeholders to create revenue-impacting programs that align sales, customer success, enablement and executive staff. This is a hybrid position, which will require in person attendance several days each week in one of the following locations: Addison, TX; Bellevue, WA; Durham, NC; Emeryville, CA; or Reston, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CTO, CRO, and CMO to shape Tanium’s go-to-market strategy and corporate direction
  • Lead the go-to-market business planning, resource prioritization (in people and programmatic investments), and performance reporting across the product portfolio
  • Evolve the product/solutions' packaging and pricing strategy to maximize growth opportunities and increase customer lifetime value
  • Develop and manage a corporate positioning and messaging platform to ensure a compelling and differentiated narrative for our platform, product, and solution offerings
  • Align with the product management and customer success teams to launch new products and enhancements
  • Shape our competitive position in the market by leading win/loss reporting, representing the voice of the customers/influencers, and providing market intelligence to other functions
  • Drive the productivity of our sales (reps and pre-sales) teams by constructing enablement training, focused on go-to-market sales plays, compete, etc
  • Serve as a thought leader, storyteller, and spokesperson to bring corporate positioning to life
  • Communicate effectively and often to ensure all stakeholders are aligned
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of top product marketing talent

Requirements

  • BA/BS or equivalent industry experience required
  • 15+ years marketing experience in a high-tech company
  • Previous experience in a lead marketing role with responsibilities for product or solutions marketing
  • Proven experience launching new products and growing to a mature business
  • Strong collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to partner with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong ability to influence and work cross-functionally
  • People-focused leader with proven ability to build creative, collaborative teams; develop people; and link performance to overall business objectives
