Position Purpose: The Vice President of Risk Management is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive enterprise risk management strategy. This position ensures that all organizational risks, including operational, financial, regulatory, reputational, and strategic risks—are identified, assessed, mitigated, and monitored. This VP leads efforts to establish a strong risk culture, partners with executive leadership to align risk initiatives with business objectives and ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The role provides oversight of risk management programs, policies, and procedures, and supervises the activities of risk management personnel to ensure organizational safety and soundness. The VP of Risk Management prepares updates for executive management and the Board, translating complex risk information into clear insights and recommendations. Work From Home: This position works in-office in Corinth, Texas for the first 90 days of employment. After 90 days, there is the potential to work from home on Mondays and Fridays. You will still work in-office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, business administration, or related field.
  • Seven to ten years of progressive experience in risk management, preferably within a financial institution, including leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of risk management principles, practices, and regulatory requirements in the financial services industry.
