About The Position

The Warehouse and Distribution Manager is a key leader within the plant, responsible for all warehouse functions, including the planning, storage, control and distribution, of materials and products to meet Pregis objectives and customer requirements in a safe and timely manner. This person is responsible for direction and administration of Shipping, Receiving, and Warehousing functions.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years in Leadership role, required.
Must be highly analytical and good at solving complex problems.
Experience with ERP systems. SAP knowledge a plus.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Hands on, detail oriented, committed to safety and accuracy.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and cross-functional collaboration skills required.
Strong work ethic, positive attitude with ability to adapt to change.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Material Management, Supply Chain, other related field, or equivalent industry experience., preferred
APICs or other relevant certification, preferred.
Certifications / Licenses in Supply Chain disciplines and/or related fields a plus

Responsibilities

Set the tone for department culture, with emphasis on Safety, Quality, Profitability and people development.
Model the right behavior though actions.
Ensure 5S program is implemented and maintained within warehouse and shipping areas
Participate in daily/weekly meetings and ensure timely and accurate communication of information relevant to department
Ensure all material and inventory tasks are completed in a timely and safe manner.
Train and develop team leveraging Pregis best practices.
Keep Safety in the forefront of the team’s thinking and approach to work.
Ensure all Pregis Production System Safety expectations are adhered to.
Manage investigations and resolve problems from material shortages, damage, or overages
Review logistical CCI’s and determine root causes.
Ensure root causes are addressed.
Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained to achieve on-time deliveries and meet customer requirements while minimizing carrying and transportation costs.
Manage / Monitor labor utilization and overtime in shipping and warehouse areas and take quick action to correct excessive labor costs.
Maintain KPI reporting.
