To learn more about playing for Team Amcor, visit www.amcor.com I LinkedIn I Glassdoor I Facebook I YouTube Job Description Position Purpose: Oversee all distribution and warehousing operations for raw materials and finished goods, including the picking, packaging, staging, and shipment of products at both the production plant and the offsite warehouse. This role ensures accurate inventory management and maintains optimal stock levels to best support customer needs. Lead, develop, and support Front Line Leaders (FLLs) through coaching, structured training, and ongoing career development. This includes ownership of the 6S program and the design and implementation of a cross‑functional, multi‑shift training program that strengthens team capability and operational consistency. Foster a culture of inclusion, teamwork, and accountability through a servant leadership approach—prioritizing the development, well‑being, and success of the team. The Warehouse Manager sets the example by being present, supportive, and committed to helping employees remove obstacles, grow in their roles, and excel in delivering safe and reliable warehouse operations. Position Relationships: Reports to Plant Director. Interacts with Maintenance, Production Manager, EH&S Manager, Human Resources, Buyer/Planner, Quality Control, Warehouse, Tool Room, Customer, Service, Finance, and Sales. Interacts with equipment vendors and parts suppliers. Correspond with CPNA logistics group, CMOG group, and corporate EH&S. Weekly discussion with production manager determining solutions to reduce scrap.

Responsibilities

  • Warehouse Operations: Oversees activities related to the shipping of product(s). Ensures order accuracy and improves production standards. Oversees stock placement, warehouse space utilization, and on time loading. Controls and manages annual shipping budget. Investigates and responds to customer complaints regarding shipment errors or damage. Act as a liaison with Maintenance Department regarding shipping parts and equipment. Reviews all customer loading requirements and ensures compliance. Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Responsible for overseeing compliance with DOT logs
  • Achieve >99% OTIF: works with Customer Service, Production, and customers to ensure that shipments are made on time and in full. >85% dock manager utilization. Supports a 24/7 production facility. Ensures data is collected and input to JDE correctly and that inventory is accurate.
  • Inventory: ensures that cycle counts are performed on a routine basis to verify inventory accuracy; ensuring all cycle counts are completed on a fiscal quarterly basis and annually as required. Actively involved in assisting and maintaining inventory control. Assist and manage warehouse projects. Assists in management of scrap inventory levels at both plant and offsite. Maintain forklifts, dock plates, and other equipment as needed.
  • Personnel: Responsible for hourly and salary team members (Offsite Shipping Supervisor) Coaches, trains, and develops warehouse associates through training programs, providing both informal (e.g. on-floor coaching) and formal (e.g. written evaluations) job performance-based feedback. Ensures a culture of safety is demonstrated through Amcor’s safety policies and procedures; monitor warehouse safety, physical security and operational metrics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Enforce personnel policies and procedures; completes and submits all associated paperwork in a timely manner. Assists in the selection of staff. Maintain safe working conditions to ensure no recordable and zero lost time accidents. Control and minimize employee overtime hours. Responsible for department resources including authorized headcount.
  • Manufacturing Support: Assist other departments with special projects as assigned. Actively participate in production management team meetings as requested. Responsible for implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System (ISO). Responsible for maintaining the Food Safety Program (GMP). Assists EH&S department in all safety related programs.
  • PPE Required – Requirements are proper hearing protection, safety glasses (prescription if required), steel-toed shoes, high visibility vest, hairnet, beard net (if employee has chin hair greater than 1/8 inch).
  • Authorities: Perform essential functions and assigned duties while communicating any deviations from the requirements to management. Report any safety concerns to management and to shut down any equipment that presents a safety hazard. To stop a shipment that could be nonconforming or to have product in the warehouse placed in held ware if there is a potential threat of nonconformity to the customer. Authority to shut down production or stop any machine for any reason deemed necessary.
