About The Position

As a Warehouse Associate Lead, you will be responsible for assisting the management team in mentoring and leading Warehouse Associates in a safety-focused manner. The Warehouse Lead will be equipped with the knowledge and problem-solving skills necessary to effectively address and resolve a wide range of customer concerns, ensuring a positive experience and maintaining AFW’s high standards of service and satisfaction. The ideal Warehouse Associate Lead demonstrates strong leadership and excellent problem-solving skills. They must also be able to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc)
  • High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s or associate degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience accepted in lieu of diploma.
  • Requires the ability to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas.
  • Requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours a day.
  • Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back.
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 50-100lbs
  • Able to work shifts that are 8-12 hours long.
  • Ability to work 0 to 35 feet above the ground.
  • Able to work in various weather conditions.

  • Experience with STORIS and preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting the warehouse, facility, store, and managers in the successful and timely flow of production work.
  • Addresses customer concerns and resolves issues promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinates the training of new employees and ensures that current employees are receiving ongoing training, including product handling and tie-down procedures.
  • Verify all customers receive the correct merchandise according to sales ticket.
  • Ensure accurate completion of required forms and documentation.
  • Accurately read and interpret reports, sales tickets, and UPC labels.
  • Helps improve the operational systems, processes, and policies in support of the organizational mission.
  • Helps create schedules, approve payroll, and assign duties to employees when necessary.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities appropriately to ensure efficient workflow and accountability.
  • Fosters a collaborative, communicative, and team-oriented culture.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with team members and leadership.
  • Maintains warehouse cleanliness to avoid damage of products entering and leaving the facility.
  • Demonstrate strong commitment to AFW’s safety policies and procedures, actively promoting safety awareness throughout the team.
  • All other duties assigned by the management.
