About The Position

Shipping & Receiving / Warehouse Associate – Troy, MI Are you dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment? Oakwood Veneer Company is hiring a Shipping & Receiving / Warehouse Associate for our Troy, Michigan facility. This is a full-time, day-shift warehouse position offering consistent hours, strong benefits, and a clean, well-organized work environment. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm , with optional voluntary overtime available after training. We are conveniently located near I-75, 15 Mile Road, and Stephenson Highway . In this role, you will be responsible for pulling and picking customer veneer orders, packing and preparing shipments, loading materials, and supporting inventory management. You can expect to pick and pack up to 30 customer orders per day with moderate complexity. Training is provided, including learning wood species, grades, cuts, and safe operation of warehouse equipment. Experience or interest in woodworking or woodshop environments is a plus. We are looking for someone who is reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and a strong work ethic are essential. This position requires the ability to safely lift 60–70 lbs. boxes approximately 4–5 inches without assistance and the willingness to learn multiple machines over time.

Requirements

At least 18 Months of Hi-Lo / forklift experience
Valid driver's license
Able to accurately and quickly pull a variety of wood veneer orders
Attention to detail while not sacrificing speed
Ability to safely lift 60–70 lbs. boxes approximately 4–5 inches without assistance
Willingness to learn multiple machines over time
