Job Description: Warehouse Associate — Job Description Position Purpose Receives, unpacks, checks, and stores merchandise or materials. Fills requisitions and orders. May operate fork lift. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of manual tasks. Works under general supervision.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Knowledge of application and use of power tools.
  • Organizational skills, detail oriented.
  • Ability to obtain any necessary licensure or certifications, as applicable.
  • Ability to physically lift up to 83 pounds.
  • Basic knowledge of construction materials and tools.
  • Basic math skills; legible writing.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload shipments of products and/or materials; record receipts & enter into computer system — 20%
  • Stage materials for pick-up or shipping — 5%
  • Move materials on and off of shelves — 5%
  • Assist in staging customer orders — 15%
  • Keep warehouse areas clean and neat, may include sweeping, snow shoveling, picking up debris, and maintain safe environment — 5%
  • Maintain service parts area; log all incoming and outgoing parts — 10%
  • Maintain inventory levels record and report specific usage — 5%
  • Recommend changes/improvements to work processes and procedures in writing — 5%
  • Understand and meet safety requirements for equipment and tools — 5%
  • Help lifting large units as requested in warehouse or on installation job sites — 5%
  • Deliver needed materials to job sites — 20%
  • Other duties as assigned by leader.
