About The Position

Warehouse Associate 1 contributes to the efficient operation of the warehouse by providing labor support to the Branch Office. Warehouse Associate 1 in this job performs a range of general and specific warehouse tasks that can be easily learned on the job, such as receiving, stocking, assembling, staging, loading, and unloading products. Package finished product for shipping (Shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling). Stages finished product for loading. Check purchase orders/ work orders to ensure that products are correctly assembled and ready for delivery. Check items to ensure that the correct number of products is being assembled. Assists in inventory level maintenance and inventory counts. Load the finished product onto the truck. Unload products from trucks, containers, and stock them in the designated area. Responsible for quality control. Ensure that no damaged products are sent out, and no damaged products will be stored. Operate the pallet jack within standard operating procedures. Perform preventive maintenance on palette jacks. Perform on-the-job training for new employees. Handle inventory movement into and out of controlled locations. Prepare customers’ orders for delivery. Provide fill-in support for other departments in the warehouse. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 0 - 2 years of warehouse experience
  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Must be able to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under various time constraints
  • Knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of the warehouse environment
  • The incumbent should be able to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Correctly follow a given rule or set of rules to arrange things or actions in a certain order; Require considerable and strenuous physical exertion so incumbents should be able to lift heavy objects over 50 pounds
  • Ability to operate material handler equipment proficiently
  • Ability to read, speak, and write in English
  • Physically strong, agile, dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions
  • Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance
  • Available to work extended hours
