Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of production experience
  • 3-5 years of distribution/warehouse experience
  • Working knowledge of the receiving practices
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication with the ability to read and understand work instructions in English
  • Must have a positive attitude while maintaining flexibility
  • Able to efficiently manage multiple requests and projects at one time
  • Conscientious, accurate, and detailed-oriented regarding work quality and output
  • Computer Skills – Excellent computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be able to obtain Hi Lo license (Driver’s License required) and operate all heavy machinery in a safe manner
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
  • Frequently required to stand, sit, and talk, walk and hear
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Nice To Haves

  • IFS experience a plus
  • Forklift/Reach truck experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all activities and tasks necessary to accept product from Production or external processing. Tasks include, but are not limited to
  • Physical unload of product, ensuring items are unloaded and received on the dock in an efficient, accurate and safe manner
  • Verifies packing slips for correct products and amounts
  • Systematically receives product into IFS
  • Completes all necessary paperwork and filing in complete and accurate manner
  • Accurately prints and labels product
  • Places inventory into proper location after receiving activities are completed
  • Monitor and report any damaged product for further investigation and corrective actions
  • Sign off and follow all standard work procedures
  • Assist in the coordination of product between facilities
  • Immediately escalate quantity or quality errors through proper channels to have issues resolved and available to customers
  • Handles and organizes shipments to designated locations
  • Keep designated warehouses organized
  • Establish and maintain pickable and non-pickable locations, facilitating the replenishment of inventory into pickable locations.
  • Operates Hi Lo, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial equipment in a safe manner. Attends proper safety training sessions as required and wears PPE in designated areas
  • Monitors condition of finished goods in bins & reports damage products to the attention of the Manager / Supervisor immediately
  • Maintains 6S work environment – cleanliness and organization
  • May be assigned to more complex tasks, as needed, to facilitate cross training and to cover department / work center needs
  • Listens actively and takes direction from Supervisor regarding daily work priorities. Communicates professionally to all teammates
  • Follows Aspen safety guidelines and procedures when and where required. Enters Safety, CI suggestions into system
  • Have the ability to adapt to a changing work environment, including increased automation
  • SME of areas trained on and performs all aspects of the job. Trained on all applicable work instructions and has ability to proficiently train all applicable work instructions to others. While training others, ensures all training is done in accordance with requirements for the job.
  • SME on related IFS tasks and processes
  • Proactively participates in Kaizen events and creating a continuous improvement culture. Promotes and completes problem solving
