Warehouse/Delivery Driver - Forklift Required
About The Position
The Driver / Warehouse Forklift Operator supports daily warehouse operations and performs local deliveries using a company box truck. This role includes operating forklifts, loading and unloading materials, organizing inventory, and transporting products safely to and from customer locations. This position requires flexibility, as employees may spend portions of the day driving delivery routes and other portions performing warehouse duties such as forklift operation, inventory handling, and order preparation. The position requires a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork.
Requirements
- Valid Class E driver's license.
- Clean driving record.
- Previous forklift experience required (certification preferred).
- Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
Nice To Haves
- Previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills and experience with warehouse inventory systems are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate a company box truck to complete local deliveries and pickups.
- Load and secure materials to ensure safe transportation.
- Deliver products to customers in a professional and timely manner.
- Verify delivery paperwork and obtain required signatures.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move inventory safely.
- Load and unload trucks and organize incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Assist with picking, packing, and staging orders for shipment.
- Maintain organized inventory locations within the warehouse.
- Use warehouse inventory systems to track materials and update inventory records.
- Enter shipment or inventory information into warehouse or shipping software as required.
- Assist with general warehouse duties including stocking, cleaning, and material handling.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Maintain a professional attitude with customers and coworkers.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential, as this role supports scheduled deliveries and daily warehouse operations that depend on team coordination.
- Assist other departments as needed to support overall operations.
