JOB SCOPE SUMMARY – Warehouse/Driver I provides assistance to both internal and external customers by performing warehouse responsibilities and supporting the team as a backup driver. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Deliver orders to customers in a professional and timely manner. Receive in daily rush orders and weekly orders. Check stage on orders. Put away stock in warehouse and pull will-call orders for customer pick up. Maintain bin locations. Process ship-outs that need to go from the branch. Process all warranty and returns and verify that paperwork has been neatly and properly filled out. Prepare warranty and returns for ship out to Tigard branch and/or vendor direct. Order and return compressed gas tanks as needed. Clean and straighten the warehouse daily. Works well as a team player. Follows all Company Policies/Store Standards. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Assist with counter/phone sales and calling customers to inform them of any backorders that are ready for pick up on an as-needed basis. Recycle cardboard and empty branch garbage twice a week. Fill freight claims when necessary. Assist with stocking showroom. Attend ongoing training classes. Work on special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Must possess and maintain a current valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to three years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Past experience would include shipping/receiving, and material handling.
- All new hires must be able to successfully pass employment verification through the E-Verify program.
- All new hires must be able to successfully pass a background check, MVR screening (if applicable, for roles with driving responsibilities), and a pre-employment drug screening.
Nice To Haves
- Delivery driving experience preferred
- HVAC/R experience along with customer service and/or sales preferred.
- Forklift experience preferred
