About The Position

The Warehouse & Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics coordination, and asset management for traffic camera enforcement systems and supporting infrastructure. This role ensures secure handling, accurate tracking, and efficient distribution of equipment including cameras, sensors, mounting hardware, networking devices, spare parts, and enforcement system components used in field deployments. The position plays a critical role in maintaining operational readiness for installation, maintenance, and repair activities, while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, regulatory standards, and evidence-handling protocols where applicable. The Warehouse & Inventory Manager partners closely with field service teams, program managers, procurement, and technical operations to ensure accurate inventory visibility, timely fulfillment, and optimized supply chain performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field — or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience managing serialized equipment and technical hardware inventory.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and inventory control software.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles, cycle counting, and audit processes.
  • Experience managing RMA processes for technical hardware.
  • Experience coordinating logistics for field service or distributed operations.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment as required and work in a warehouse environment.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting transportation, public safety, ITS, or traffic enforcement programs.
  • Knowledge of traffic camera systems, ALPR, speed enforcement, or red-light enforcement technologies.
  • Experience with asset lifecycle management and serialized equipment tracking.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance, chain-of-custody procedures, or secure equipment handling.
  • Certification such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD.
  • Experience implementing barcode, RFID, or automated inventory tracking solutions.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement certification.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or statewide deployment programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, inspection, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and returns processing.
  • Maintain organized, secure, and efficient storage of traffic enforcement equipment and related materials.
  • Implement and enforce warehouse safety standards and operational procedures.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce handling time.
  • Maintain accurate real-time inventory records across all equipment, components, and consumables.
  • Track serialized assets including cameras, radar/LiDAR units, edge processors, communication devices, and mounting systems.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of physical inventory versus system records.
  • Establish minimum stock levels, reorder points, and safety stock strategies to support field operations.
  • Monitor equipment lifecycle status including deployment, maintenance, repair, and retirement.
  • Coordinate timely shipment of equipment to installation sites, maintenance teams, and service vendors.
  • Manage kitting of deployment packages for new site installations or system upgrades.
  • Support emergency replacement and rapid response logistics for system outages.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound equipment transfers between warehouse, repair facilities, and field locations.
  • Manage return merchandise authorization (RMA) workflows for defective or damaged equipment.
  • Track repair status, vendor servicing, and replacement inventory.
  • Ensure proper documentation and chain of custody for enforcement-related equipment.
  • Maintain documentation for asset tracking, inventory valuation, and audit readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and applicable transportation or regulatory requirements.
  • Support secure storage and handling protocols for equipment associated with enforcement operations.
  • Generate inventory and operational reports for leadership, finance, and program stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with procurement to forecast demand and plan inventory replenishment.
  • Coordinate inbound shipments and vendor deliveries.
  • Monitor supplier performance and delivery timelines.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms, and asset tracking tools.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse and inventory processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, reduce costs, and streamline operations.
  • Support implementation of barcode, RFID, or digital asset tracking technologies.
