The Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and local delivery logistics. This role ensures operational efficiency, team productivity, safety, and customer satisfaction in a high-volume distribution environment. To grow and build a successful career with Wesco & Hector Turf, you will be responsible for: Oversees receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and executing daily objectives. Oversee picking/packing teams to ensure fast and accurate shipments Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling with proprietary inventory control system. Lead inventory recount teams to ensure warehouse inventory is accurate. Route and schedule Wesco/Hector trucks to maximize efficiency and meet all sales, parts and service needs. Utilize warehouse machinery such as pallet jacks, stand up forklifts, sit down forklifts, chargers, cherry pickers, reach trucks. Ensure safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat while maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Manage the warehouse operation functions concurrent with: Business growth Profitability Introduction of new operational systems/technologies Meeting all goals and objectives Meeting all vendor requirements 100% Customer Satisfaction Assess and assist in upgrading the talents and performance of all employees to ensure 100% Customer Satisfaction after every transaction Ensure continual cross training efforts to provide effective coverage for all positions during periods of absences Provide effective leadership and supervisory skills to effectively recruit, train, direct, coach and motivate staff for positive results Lead by example, inspire and create excitement to succeed in subordinates and others; demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude Ensure timeliness in the handling and processing of all employee and customer related issues Provide managerial control of all areas handled by direct reports’ - while not limited to, such areas as parts order fulfillment, box truck delivery service, physical inventories, etc. Ensure timeliness in the handling and processing of all employee and customer related issues Effective management of physical inventories Ensure personal (andassociates’) compliance to all stated Company policies Coordinate needed support through intradepartmental interface throughout the Company Project a positive image to peers, subordinates, our customers, vendors and to the public by providing quality service and maintaining a cost efficient, productive, safe and customer friendly environment. Establish, prepare, implement, revise, and maintain procedures related to warehouse operations Ensure proper utilization, coordination, and balance of resources to increase effectiveness and profitability Provide a safe work environment by ensuring total compliance to all OSHA regulations and requirements as set forth by OSHA and our various insurance companies Attend all required training, conferences, meetings as dictated by the management and/or the Company’s various vendors Performs other duties as assigned.
