About The Position

The primary function of this position is to select and palletize orders in an accurate and timely manner. This is a warehouse position responsible for operating an electric jack, or other powered industrial equipment, to select the correct products using a voice activated order system, labeling product, palletizing product to build customer orders and delivering the product to the dock safely and efficiently. An individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty listed below. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety requirements.
  • Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Must be able to work the assigned schedule. This position requires working 7:00pm until end of shift with all products accurately selected and loaded, 10+ hour shifts, overtime, Sundays and holidays.
  • Must be able to use, or learn to use, all equipment and tools used to perform the job.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must successfully pass a controlled substance screening test
  • Must adhere to all safety practices and company policies
  • Meet or exceed established cases per error goals
  • Develop a work knowledge of the product

Nice To Haves

  • Warehouse experience preferred.
  • Experience operating electric pallet jack or forklift preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Hand select orders using a voice activated system, within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures, including dry, cooler and freezer.
  • Stack product on pallets following proper selecting procedures (for example, no stacking heavy product on light product, labels facing out, adhering to food safety principles, etc.)
  • Operate an electric pallet jack, or other powered industrial equipment, to transport products.
  • Stage pallets for loading on proper dock locations.
  • Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment including, but not limited to, powered industrial equipment, voice headsets, and personal protective equipment.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections, and safely operate all powered industrial equipment.
  • Shrink-wrap product on the loading dock.
  • Adhere to all safety practices and company policies and food safety principles.
  • Immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
  • Attend all required company meetings.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
