POSITION VISION Perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, picking and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Requirements

  • Minimum: High school diploma or GED
  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend English and have basic math skills
  • Minimum: Must be certified in forklift, walkie rider, electric pallet jack and floor scrubber
  • Minimum: Warehouse and forklift experience and material handling
  • Preferred a valid, clean NYS driver’s license that is acceptable to our insurance carrier.

Responsibilities

  • Reports to work on time wearing a clean company approved safety uniform.
  • Unloads products from inbound trucks with forklift. Using the forklift, a pallet containing anywhere from 40 to 150 cases of product may be lifted. Pallets may be stacked up to 4 high. Similarly, a pallet may contain anywhere from 6 to 20 kegs. Stacks of kegs can go as high as 8 pallets
  • Load empty bottles and kegs onto trucks.
  • Fills pick area from warehouse storage area to ensure night crew has proper inventory to load trucks.
  • Conducts inventory cycle counts in the morning and reports to Inventory Specialist any errors or concerns.
  • Helps load bulk trucks with products. Products may be lifted using arms and hands to stack products on pallets for loading onto trucks. Products weight approximately: - 1 case of cans = 21 pounds - 1 case of 12 oz bottles = 38 pounds - 1 case of 40 oz or 24 oz NR bottles = 48 pounds - 1 1/6 bbl = 58 pounds - 1 ¼ bbl = 88 pounds - 1 ½ bbl. = 175 pounds
  • Maintains a safe working environment by straightening up pallets and keeping floors swept and scrubbed.
  • Must be willing and able with proper training to perform back up functions for other warehouse and delivery personnel.
  • Builds transfers using tablets. Proper stacking is required.
  • Assists with picking orders for customers for pick up at the warehouse.
  • When receiving inbound loads from suppliers, each pallet is recorded and checked in properly thru WMS.
  • Placing WMS labels with proper code dates on each pallet in designated area on each pallet
  • Always ensures proper rotation maintained in warehouse and pick area.
  • Uphold customer service philosophy and uphold WBD standards while executing business activities.
