About The Position

The Warehouse Returns Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency and accuracy within the returns department of a warehouse or distribution center. This position oversees daily return processing, maintains inventory integrity, and enforces productivity and quality standards. Acting as a central point of coordination between Warehouse Operations, Quality, and Inventory teams, the role drives structured workflows, real-time tracking, and process compliance to support seamless reverse logistics and operational scalability.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of warehouse experience, including returns or reverse logistics, with 2–3 years in supervisory or team leadership roles.
  • Proven expertise in managing high-volume return operations, optimizing workflows, and maintaining productivity standards.
  • Strong proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control software to ensure operational accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor, analyze, and drive KPIs, metrics, and team performance in a dynamic warehouse environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and coach teams effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and manage the returns team, ensuring high productivity, adherence to safety standards, and performance accountability.
  • Oversee end-to-end returns processing, including inspection, classification, disposition, and reintegration of products into inventory or vendor channels.
  • Maintain inventory integrity by ensuring accurate system entries, investigating discrepancies, and coordinating with warehouse and inventory control teams.
  • Develop, monitor, and drive key operational metrics (KPIs) such as processing time, accuracy rate, and return volume to optimize departmental performance.
  • Streamline workflows and processes to enhance efficiency, reduce backlog, and ensure compliance with warehouse and quality standards.
  • Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track returns activity and maintain real-time visibility across the department.
  • Prepare and communicate actionable reports on returns trends, defects, and operational insights to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.
