About The Position

Lead warehouse team while promoting positive employee relations and ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and quality.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to successfully pass and maintain certification on all Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) utilized at SK Food Group.
• Microsoft office – Word, Excel, Outlook. This lead must be proficient and have a good working knowledge in all of these programs.
• Flexibility and eagerness to tackle new problems.

Responsibilities

• Lead warehouse employees and ensure that assigned tasks are completed during periods of limited supervision on-site or in off-site facilities.
• Complete necessary incident reporting and investigations in accordance to safety and department guidelines.
• Utilize neighboring departments and resources during times of adversity to appropriately handle difficult situations and/or decisions.
• Build and maintain strong relationship with associates and department leadership (HR, Facilities, Production, etc.).
• Conduct and document formal training sessions with associates to ensure company and department policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
• Maintain safe working practices for all employees.
• Develop warehouse associates and knowledge in their respective work areas.
• Train in forklift operations and safety.
• Open up building at start of shift and lock and secure the building at end of the shift.
• Keep track of accurate cycle counts and stock change movement of products.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
