Warehouse Specialist Must be able to maintain production and distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory; delivering production materials and supplies; staging finished product for shipping; moving and organizing inventory as needed; operating machinery to move items. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Education – no minimum education requirements.
  • Experience – warehouse experience in an Industrial setting requried.
  • Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check, as condition of employment.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
  • Austin is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory.
  • Must have computer skills to use inventory system, Microsoft Office, and other computer systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Able to use paper logs and bar code scanners.
  • Able to lift and maneuver packages of a minimum of 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
  • Able to issue material at the counter.
  • Able to unload trucks with pallet jack, moving material with hand truck, and loading material on shelves.
  • Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
  • Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
  • Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
  • Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
  • Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
  • Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections, making operator repairs.
  • Good interpersonal skills and verbal communication skills.
  • Need to be able to receive instructions and follow directions.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; work at heights; balance for extended periods of time.
